Compact design, powerful light output: Glare-free illumination; fits circular sight glass fittings to DIN 28120/DIN 28121 or similar, screw-type sight glass fittings in compliance with DIN 11851, as well as visual flow indicator fittings.

Generous light exit and optimised screwed lens aperture

 

Protection class: dust-tight and water jet-proof,
IP 65 in compliance with EN 60 529 / DIN VDE 0470, part 1

Operating conditions: Independent of vacuum/pressure in the vessel. Under no circumstances should a sight glass luminaire be used as a substitute for  the cover flange or instead of the complete sight glass flange assembly or on its own to close a vessel port.

Maximum admissible ambient temperature: 50°C

Straightforward installation using special attachment, ensuring convenience of use: The luminaire is fixed to the cover flange by a hinged bracket in the case of circular sight glass fittings and visual flow indicators.

With screw-type sight glass fittings, the luminaire is fastened to the slotted nut.

Lumistar luminaire USL 05 LED fits the following nominal sizes:
a) Circular sight glass fitting acc. to DIN 28120: from DN 25
b) Circular sight glass fitting acc. to DIN 28121: from DN 40
c) Visual flow indicator: from DN 25
d) Screw-type sight glass fitting in compliance with DIN 11851:

Lumiglas Sight Glass Fitting Oval – Liquid Level Indicator

For welding into or onto vessel wall

Lumiglas Oblong Oval Sight Glass Fitting is suitable for welding into or onto vessel walls, this sight glass fitting comes complete with an oblong oval glass plate sealed by gaskets inserted on either side of it and bolted firmly in place.

Application:
Ideal for viewing the insides of pipes, vessels, containers, reactors, silos, etc., and used primarily as a liquid level indicator for monitoring e. g. filling levels.

Operating conditions:
– Pressure 2.5/6/10/25 bar
– Vacuum
– Prior to using the fitting, the cut-out reinforcement together with the relevant material of the vessel should be checked in accordance with AD-Merkblatt.

Operating temperature:
100°C when using soda-lime glass to DIN 8903 (on request only)
243°C when using borosilicate glass to DIN 7081
These temperatures refer to unprotected glass, i. e. without a protective layer of mica).

Certification/Approval:
Testing and certification can be provided to DIN EN 10204 3.1/3.2

Externally mounted liquid level indicator:
Lumiglas oblong oval sight glass fittings are also available with a closed base frame for use as an external liquid level indicator. In this case, the indicator is fed via pipes that run through holes in the base frame plate. The base frame is provided with the relevant drilled or tapped holes for this purpose.
