Lumistar Luminaire USL08LED-Ex-UL

Lumistar Luminaire USL08LED-Ex, UL-listed + T6

 

  • UL-listed
  • Temperature class T6 at a Ambient temperature up to 50°C
  • Extended voltage range (120 – 240 V AC)
  • Subsequent change of the radiation angle possible
    (15°, 25°, 35°)
  • LED technology with more efficient light output
    compared to the halogen version
  • Can be exchanged for the old halogen version 1:1, as the housing and the fixings have not changed on the outside

The Lumistar USL08 with UL/cUL Ex-listed is now also available in LED technology and can be are manufactured and sold. The approval includes the following technical details:

• Voltage range: 120-240V
• Approved for: − Class I Div. 1 and 2, Groups C and D, temperature class T6 at max. ambient temperature 50°C
− Class I Div. 2 Groups A, B, C, D, temperature class T2

There are two versions with different radiation angles and light colours:

Version 1:

  • Lumistar USL08LED-Ex with LED chip. (COB Version à Chip on Board)
  • Light output max. 2200 lumen
  • With this version, a subsequent lens change by the customer is possible. (possible radiation angles 15°,25°,35°)

Version 2:

For mounting on sight glass fittings… or for localized illumination of process operations in reactors, vessels and pipelines and also where there is limited space, primarily in potentially hazardous Ex zones.

For the illumination of process operations and/or the internals of vessels and plant in in potentially explosive environments, where the space available is limited.

The unit is made up of a general-purpose sight glass luminaire that has been modified to provide a fibre optic system which is particularly suitable for use wherever processes in Class I, Divisions 1&2, Groups C&D need to be  illuminated.

The unit can be installed for combined light and sight purposes as well as with VISULEX Ex camera technology.

This Lumistar luminaire has been specifically developed for light guide applications and is characterised by its:

– Extremely high light output at only 39 W
– Low energy consumption
– Servicing intervals: filament lamp life greater than 6,000 hours

The light source can also be mounted at a distance from a vibrating vessel to extend the bulb life.

Protection: Suitable for wet locations acc. to UL-1598 and CSA C22.2
