The product is a universally applicable sight glass luminaire ideally suited for use on combined sight/light glass units (single flanged port arrangement) as well as for separate flanged ports.

Compact, high light output:

Dazzle free illumination; suits circular sight glass fittings to DIN 28120/DIN 28121 or similar as well as screwed sight glass assemblies similar to DIN 11851 and flow indicators. Sizes, depending on style, from DN 50 upward.

Large light aperture thanks to screwed lens ring design

Applications: suitable for pharmaceutical and food industries and especially for sterile areas!

For the illumination of flow indicators, pipelines, laboratory mixers, bioreactors as well as internals of tanks, pressure vessels stirred reactors and otherwise normally closed containers.

This sight glass luminaire is designed for mounting on sight glass fittings in universal applications. It is ideal for use in combined sight and light ports (single-flange version) or arranged separately (two-flange version). The integrated fastening clamp enables convenient mounting on a Lumiglas sight glass wiper assembly SW I.

Application in chemical, pharmaceutical, biogas and food processing  industries:

It is ideal for illuminating bioreactors, laboratory mixers and filters as well as the interiors of tanks, agitators, separators, pipelines and other, usually closed, vessels in non-explosive operating environments.

  • USL 01: for general applications, mounted with hinged bracket, clamp fastening or flanged adapter collar
  • USL 31: special variant for sterile environments with adapter collar for fitting over flanges, etc.

Lumiglas luminaire USL 01 and USL 31 fit the following sizes:

a) Circular sight glass fitting to DIN 28120: from DN 25 
b) Circular sight glass fitting to DIN 28121: from DN 40
c) Visual flow indicators: from DN 25
d) Screw-type sight glass fittings similar to DIN 11851: from DN 50

The Series ASL/ESL55-Ex, an LED luminaire that can be used with a sight  glass in hazardous areas, reducing maintenance costs and allows companies to meet green initiatives. Before now, the only explosion-proof rated luminaires available were very low power, providing little light for viewing. Now companies who want to reduce their carbon footprint can obtain a high-power, Ex-rated LED luminaire that gives operators a well-lit glare-free view of processes through a sight glass. This luminarie is available is made with a 316 stainless steel (Esl 55-LED Ex) housing for harsh environments. Compared to traditional halogen luminaires, the new green-technology LED Lumiglas® luminaires

Lumiglas supply this stainless glass luminaire in two versions for use in potentially explosive environments and for normal operating conditions.

Designed for use with rectangular / longitudinal sight glass units; installed in bioreactors, laboratory mixers, filters and, generally, all normally closed tanks, agitators, separators, pipelines and other vessels operated in explosion-hazardous environments (Zones 1 and 2) as well as in non-hazardous work areas.

Suitable for use in the food processing sector

The Lumistar luminaire REL 01/REL 01-Ex is a complete unit ready for fitting. It is attached directly to the cover flange of a rectangular sight glass unit by means of two screws.

The REL01 unit has been designed to fit snugly into the side of rectangular / longitudinal sightglasses, length = 250 mm
The Luminaire REL 01 comes ready for fitting, 2 screws enable it to be bolted straight onto the cover flange of the longitudinal sightglass.

Compact design, high light output, low energy consumption:

21 special LEDs ensure dazzle-free illumination.

Together with the corresponding electronic switchgear, these LED are resin-cast into the stainless steel housing which is then secured to the rectangular fitting.

The service life of this luminaire is virtually unlimited; even if one of the diodes fails after a long period of operation, the remaining LED still provide more than enough light intensity.

Type of protection: Provided the luminaire has been properly installed, it is dust- and splash-proof, IP 65  acc. to DIN EN 60529/DIN VDE 0470 Part 1

Operating Voltage / Power: 24V / 2W

Where the Luminaire is to be used in explosion hazardous areas, connection must be to an intrinsically safe power supply circuit.
