The Series ASL/ESL55-Ex, an LED luminaire that can be used with a sight glass in hazardous areas, reducing maintenance costs and allows companies to meet green initiatives. Before now, the only explosion-proof rated luminaires available were very low power, providing little light for viewing. Now companies who want to reduce their carbon footprint can obtain a high-power, Ex-rated LED luminaire that gives operators a well-lit glare-free view of processes through a sight glass. This luminarie is available is made with a 316 stainless steel (Esl 55-LED Ex) housing for harsh environments. This Ex-type sight glass luminaire is designed for universal applications and is ideal for use in combined sight and light ports (single-flange version) or with two separate ports (2-flange version).
For illuminating visual flow indicators, pipelines, laboratory mixers, bio-reactors as well as the interior of tanks, hoppers, silos, agitators and other, normally closed, vessels and reactors in potentially explosive environments.
